Q & A's

Ok I've heard some questions a lot lately so I thought that I'd post a blog to answer them.

Question 1: Are you on hormones??
Answer: Yes, I am currantly taking 8 mgs of Estridol (Estrofem) a form of Estrogen, a day (I will soon be switching in 3 months to 5 mgs of Premarin a day), plus 100 mgs of Spirotone (anti-testosterone) in daily divided doses.
Subquestion: So what do these make me do?
They make me feel more balanced, they make me grow hips, an ass, breasts and they cut my sex drive in half which I am very thankful for as it allows me to think a hell of a lot more clearer about things other than sex.

Question 2: So I've heard you have a boyfriend, any truth to those rumors?
Answer: Absoutely NOT. I do not like men sexually in any way whatsoever. All the male friends I have right now are all the male friends that I'll ever need and I don't have a desire to make more of them, but that doesn't mean that I won't be nice or civil to them, I treat all humans with kindness and respect the same as I would like to be treated..

Question 3: So . . . . what are you and what do you classify yourself as??
Answer: I consider myself to be a Non-Op Male to Female Transgendered Lesbian since I still like women. Non-Op means that I am not having my penis turned into a vagina, however I am doing everything else: Laser Hair Removal, Electrolysis, Breast Augmentation, Facial Feminization Surgery, Vocal lessions, and Growing out my hair. This is a very gradual process (about 7 years) so please bear with me. I know I look kind of weird right now, but trust me in the end when I am done, I will look really awesome :)

Question 4: Why are you doing this?
Answer: Because this is who I am and who I felt I have always been ever since I was around 5 years old. I came out to my sister when I was 16, but of course living in a highly religious family out in the middle of nowhere in red-neck country population: 290, of course I had to hide it, I probably would've been kicked out and murdered by the locals.

Quaestion 5: What's the diference between a Transgendered Person, a Transsexual, and a Transvestite??

Answers taken from the Wikipedia.

Transgender (IPA: [tʰɹænz'dʒɛndɚ], from trans (Latin) and gender (English) ) is a general term applied to a variety of individuals, behaviors, and groups involving tendencies that diverge from the normative gender role (woman or man) commonly, but not always, assigned at birth, as well as the role traditionally held by society.

Transgender is the state of one's "gender identity" (self-identification as male, female, both or neither) not matching one's "assigned gender" (identification by others as male or female based on physical/genetic sex). Transgender does not imply any specific form of sexual orientation — transgender people may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual or asexual.

A transgender individual may have characteristics that are normally associated with a particular gender, identify elsewhere on the traditional gender continuum, or exist outside of it as "other," "agender," "intergender," or "third gender". Transgender people may also identify as bigender, or along several places on either the traditional transgender continuum, or the more encompassing continuums which have been developed in response to the significantly more detailed studies done in recent years.[1]

Transsexual:
Transsexual people almost universally prefer to be referred to by the gender pronouns and terms associated with their target gender. For example, a transsexual man is a person who was assigned the female gender at birth on the basis of his genitals, but despite that assignment identifies as a man and is transitioning or has transitioned to a male gender role and has or will have a masculine body. Transsexual people are sometimes referred to with "assigned-to-target" gender terms such as "female-to-male" for a transsexual man or "male-to-female" for a transsexual woman. These terms may be abbreviated as "M2F", "F2M", "MTF", "F to M", etc. These terms are particularly helpful in preventing confusion, because to some people the term "transsexual woman" is a female transitioning to become a male, and to others a male transitioning to become a female. When the terms transmen and transwomen are used though, it is typical for them to be used to refer to the gender that the person identifies with, regardless of their appearance or state of transition.
Subnote: Also, in my experiance most people who call themselves transsexual these days are those who wish to have the Final i.e. sex change surgery (turning the penis into a vagina & constructing a penis for Female to Male).

Transvestite a.k.a Transvestic fetishism (the definition as most people see it):

Transvestic fetishism, fetishistic transvestism and sometimes transvestism are also often used to describe any sexual behaviour or arousal that is in any way connected to clothes of the other gender.

Some male transvestic fetishists collect women's clothing, e.g. nightgowns, slips and other types of nightwear and lingerie. They may dress in these feminine garments and take photographs of themselves while living out their secret fantasies. Many men love the feeling of wearing silk or nylon and adore the silky fabric of women's nightwear and lingerie.
Subnote: Some men also dress up as women in order to attract the attention of other men. This is the most common definition that most people think of when the word Transvestite is used.

Also, I figured I'd throw something else in just for everyone to think about that I came across in my studies:

Third Gender

The terms third gender and third sex describe individuals who are considered to be neither women nor men, as well as the social category present in those societies who recognize three or more genders.

The state of being neither male nor female may be understood in relation to the individual's sex, gender role, gender identity or sexual orientation. To different cultures or individuals, a third sex or gender may represent an intermediate state between men and women, a state of being both (such as "the spirit of a man in the body of a woman"), the state of being neither (neuter), the ability to cross or swap genders, or another category altogether independent of male and female. This last definition is favored by those who argue for a strict interpretation of the "third gender" concept.

The term has been used to describe Hijras of India and Pakistan,[1] Fa'afafine of Polynesia, and Sworn virgins of the Balkans,[2] among others, and is also used by many of such groups and individuals to describe themselves. In the Western world, lesbian, gay, transgender and intersex people have been described as belonging to a third sex or gender, although some object to this characterization.

The term "third" is usually understood to mean "other"; some anthropologists and sociologists have described fourth,[3] fifth,[4] and many[5] genders.

Question 4: So what DO you like now, I'm really confuesed?
Answer: Even though I am becoming a woman, I still love women, always have and always will so I consider myself to be a transgender lesbian, I myself have a lot of lesbian ideals and since I love fashion and makeup and fancy things I consider myself to be a "Lip-Stick Lesbian".

Question 5: Are you getting any surgeries??
Answer: The only surgeries I am going to get include: Facial Feminization Surgery + Breast Augmentation definately, and maybe in a few years if I feel that my butt isn't as big or as round as I would like it, butt implants, but those are the only surgeries that I will be getting.

Alright I hope that I have answered all of your questions. If I or any of you come up with anymore I will ammend this blog to reflect the new questions & answers.

Today

I love myself. I am going to treat myself to sushi @ Zuttos. It will be wonderful. Then I am going to go to Barnes & Noble to pick up the latest issue of Vogue. It too, should be wonderful. Then I am going treat myself to a dollar movie. My friend Windi might join me. If so good for her. If not, I will have just as much fun by myself :)

Heroes

I watched Heros last night and it pretty much kicked ass except I wanted more though. I think I know where the story is going though so it should be starting to turn out pretty awesomely. I also made some killer fucking chicken gumbo last night. Now most of you know that I am a cook and cooking is my main passion and in my life I have made my fair share of gumbo, but last night I made gumbo that blew every other gumbo that I have ever made freakin' away in the wind. It was simply marvelous. It tasted like liquid gold, if you can imagine liquid gold having a flavor. My friends that I made it for just raved about it all night. I was very happy. Well dear old chums, I must go, but maybe I will post some more goings on in this juicy life of mine a little later. Ciao,

Wil

Well Folks, welcome to my world.

This is a blog where I can express myself without being judged. A little about myself, I am a transgendered person going from male to female. It is quiet an interesting journey so far. I am so lucky and blessed to be able to have the kinds of friends and support that I need to make this journey. In a few days I get sentenced for my DUI. I just want to get it over with already. I am also going back to collage to claim my degree. In around two weeks I get to have my awful teeth fixed so that I can eat properly again, thank god. Anyways, I'll write some more here tomorrow night, after the premier of NBC's Heros, thank god. Laters.
